Feel Kyoto just
by Staying

When you open the door of your room, you will be flooded with light. Beyond the full-length glass windows is a magnificent view of the Kamo River, and on the other side of the river, the roofs of traditional Kyoto machiya houses are lined up in a row, a scene steeped in tradition.
It is like the world of Kaii Higashiyama's “Nengoruru”. You will enjoy a special stay in Kyoto that will remain in your heart.

On the rooftop, you can breathe fresh air and enjoy the beautiful view. Tables and chairs are set up so that you can relax and enjoy yourself with a cup of tea. At night, you can view the Gozan Bonfire (the Chinese character for “big”) and the illumination of Kiyomizu Temple.

Ponto-cho, with its rows of kyomachiya (traditional Kyoto townhouses) along narrow alleys, offers a good old-fashioned Kyoto atmosphere, and in the late afternoon you can even meet maiko (apprentice geisha), giving you a close-up look at traditional culture. There are many restaurants along the Kamo River, and dining at kawadoko (riverbeds) is especially popular. In summer, it is comfortable to eat outside.

Hanamikoji Street, with its beautiful cobblestone pavement and Kyoto-style townhouses, is an enjoyable place just to stroll around. The street is especially romantic at night when it is lit up with lights. Many upscale ryotei restaurants and izakaya (Japanese-style pubs) are located here, making it the perfect place to enjoy Japanese cuisine and taste traditional kaiseki dishes. There are also places where you can enjoy tea and Japanese sweets, and have a relaxing time.

The location is close to the station, making it convenient to go anywhere, so you can change your plans according to the weather and your mood that day.
